Celebrating Canada Day

Last week, we were delighted to celebrate Canada Day with the wonderful team from Alliance Française Auckland and the High Commission of Canada in New Zealand.

Often referred to as Canada's birthday, Canada Day marks the country's founding on July 1, 1867, when the British North America Act united Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick to form the Dominion of Canada.

The celebration brought our community together for a fun and relaxing evening. Guests enjoyed delicious maple syrup pancakes and refreshing juice before settling in to watch a screening of the heartwarming Canadian comedy Tous Toqués! (All Stirred Up!) on the big screen in our Jubilee Hall.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the event such a success. We are especially grateful to Alliance Française Auckland and the High Commission of Canada in New Zealand for their valued partnership and support in bringing this celebration to our community.

Merci beaucoup to everyone who attended, and Bonne fête du Canada! We look forward to celebrating together again next year.
