This piece titled 'Norris', is a paper-crafted homage to the classic trench coat, reminiscent of what my Grandfather would have worn.

The trench coat's primary material is paper, carefully dyed with tea to achieve a warm, aged patina, mimicking the weathering of a well-worn garment.

Complementing the coat are hand-painted and textured papers, adding depth and tactile interest. Fine sewing details further enhance the realism. A miniature paper rucksack accompanies the coat, completing the ensemble.

The backdrop is a photograph taken in Pompeii during my travels through Europe, printed with Giclée on high quality art paper.

Purchases can be made in person at the 2025 Christmas Art Exhibition, held at the Parnell Community Centre (not available for online purchase).
