'Zealandia,' is a mixed-media piece created and named after my Great Grandmother from whom I derive my name, making it personal and symbolic.

The artwork incorporates a variety of natural and crafted elements of leather, feathers and a flax kete. Adding further depth are textured, hand-painted papers, providing a tactile and layered effect.

Subtle sewing details are incorporated to offer another layer of texture.

The backdrop is a photograph captured by me during a hike on the Queen Charlotte Track. This personal touch grounds the artwork in a specific location and memory, printed with Giclée on high quality art paper.

How to purchase?

Purchases can be made in person at the 2025 Christmas Art Exhibition, held at the Parnell Community Centre (not available for online purchase).

Important: All artwork will be on display for the full duration of the exhibition. Even if purchased in advance, artwork cannot be collected until after the exhibition ends.
