NEW! AI Applications for Small Businesses is part of our AI & Technology classes, held at Parnell Community Centre in Auckland.

AI for Small Businesses is an 8‑week, hands‑on course that helps small business owners harness AI to save time, cut costs, and improve customer engagement—without needing technical skills.

In just 1.5 hours each week, you’ll learn how to use AI for marketing, customer service, business automation, and financial management. This includes creating social media content, writing ads and emails, building simple chatbots, automating daily tasks, improving workflows, forecasting sales, analysing data, and generating business reports.

You’ll get practical experience with tools like ChatGPT, Canva AI, Notion AI, Excel AI and Zapier, along with guidance on writing effective prompts and safely integrating AI into everyday business operations.

The course is Project-based with simple tasks, Practical learning, Real examples and guided exercises, Step-by-step demonstrations in a supportive environment. Using Worksheets, Templates, and Basics of Prompt Engineering, with discussions and videos to further explain the development of AI, and advantages for business.

Please bring own laptop or tablet to use in class.

Our Tutor: Naveed Dowla

Naveed Dowla is a dedicated educator and technology enthusiast. He holds an MBA in Finance from the State University of Bangladesh, as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Business from Unitec, Auckland. In addition, he has earned a Certificate in Artificial Intelligence and Business Strategy from the Project Management Institute (PMI), strengthening his expertise at the intersection of AI, business, and innovation.

With over seven years of teaching experience and more than five years working in technology and marketing, Naveed blends practical industry knowledge with engaging teaching methods. His work spans AI applications, digital productivity tools, business strategy, and modern marketing technologies—equipping learners with the skills needed to thrive in today’s rapidly evolving digital world.

Outside work Naveed enjoys paintings and sketch works, music mixing, astronomy and mountain biking
