Course Details:
Class 1: Understanding Anxiety
In this class, we'll explore what anxiety is, its common symptoms, and how to distinguish between normal anxiety and anxiety disorders. We’ll also cover a self-assessment to help you identify your own experiences with anxiety.
Class 2: Managing High Anxiety and Panic Attacks (Body-Based Technique)
This class focuses on practical strategies to manage intense anxiety and panic attacks, including deep breathing exercises and using cold water for self-soothing.
Class 3: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Techniques for Anxiety
We'll introduce two core CBT skills to help you reframe anxious thoughts: “evidence gathering” to challenge irrational fears, and “exploring alternative explanations” to see situations from a different perspective.
Class 4: Addressing Anxious Thinking Errors
In this class, we’ll identify common thinking errors that fuel anxiety and discuss strategies to manage repetitive thoughts and negative emotional loops.
Class 5: Reducing Anxiety through Emotional Regulation and Exposure
We'll teach you the “PLEASE” technique to build emotional resilience and explore how gradual exposure to fears can help reduce anxiety over time.
Class 6: Setting Boundaries and Managing Emotions
This class focuses on how to set healthy boundaries in relationships and how to confront and process unpleasant emotions without resorting to avoidance.
