Experienced and dedicated French as a Foreign Language teacher with a strong passion for guiding students on their language-learning journey. A master's degree in Didactics and Management of French as a Foreign and/or Second Language (F.L.E./F.L.S.) in a multilingual environment, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the classroom. Aurelie focuses on creating engaging and interactive learning experiences, where students can thrive and develop their language skills.

Our Pathway:

1. French - Full Beginners (A1.0): Ideal for complete beginners with no prior knowledge of French. This course provides a thorough introduction to the basics of the French language, covering essential vocabulary, grammar, and everyday communication.

2. French - Beginners, Group 1 (A1.1 & A1.2): For those who have already completed an introductory French course. This class continues to develop foundational language skills.

   This term, we’ll focus on how to do the grocery shopping, order at a restaurant, and express likes and dislikes.

3. French - Beginners, Group 2 (A1.3): Designed for learners who have some basic French or have completed Group 1. This course builds your confidence and strengthens communication skills.

   This term, we’ll learn how to talk about daily routines, ask and tell the time, make a booking by phone, and schedule appointments.

4. French - Beginners, Group 3 (A1.4): For students with a basic foundation or those who have completed Group 2. This level helps solidify your knowledge and prepare for more complex interactions.

   This term, we’ll focus on asking for information about housing, discussing shared living rules, explaining household expectations, and responding appropriately.

5. French - Post Beginners (A2): Ideal for learners who have completed the full Beginners sequence or already possess a basic command of French. This course helps expand your vocabulary, improve fluency, and introduce more complex grammar and conversation skills.

6. French - Intermediate (B1): Designed for more experienced learners ready to deepen their conversational abilities.

   This term, we’ll learn how to organise a trip, make hypotheses, and imagine different past scenarios.

Our courses follow the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), which categorizes language proficiency into three main levels: Beginners, Intermediate, and Advanced. Each of these levels is divided into two sub-levels:

• Beginners: A1 and A2

• Intermediate: B1 and B2

• Advanced: C1 and C2

At Parnell Community Centre, we currently offer courses at the A1, A2, and B1 levels.

Feel free to repeat any level: You are welcome to revisit any level to reinforce and consolidate your learning before advancing to the next stage of your language journey.
