Make card-sized sheets of paper from recycled Japanese mulberry paper in this 3 weeks section of course. Play with the possibilities of adding plant and animal fibre to add personality and texture; play with pigments and dye to create unique pieces. While waiting for the master pieces to dry, we discuss and trial paper sculptures, printing and painting methods suitable for these ethereal papers.
After paper-making, we carry on for 3 weeks to carve and print small linocuts on your own paper- or on paper provided by the tutor.
Experience is not required, and all materials are provided; the perfect opportunity to make seasonal gift tags or cards.
