Ready to build on your foundation? Join us for an exciting new 8-week Russian course at Parnell Community Centre—designed for learners who have completed our beginners course or have some prior knowledge.

This course will help you:

  • Expand your vocabulary and improve pronunciation

  • Practice real-life conversations for travel, dining, and shopping

  • Deepen your understanding of Russian grammar and sentence structure

  • Explore cultural insights—where a serious glance often hides a warm heart, and tea is less a drink and more a way of life

Through interactive lessons, engaging activities, and cultural context, you’ll gain confidence to communicate in Russian beyond the basics.

Prerequisite: Some prior knowledge or completion of our beginners course.

  • Tuesdays, 6-7.30pm

Our Tutor: Alina Sharabariana

My name is Alina Sharabarina. I moved to New Zealand in 2020 from the beautiful city of Vladivostok, right in the midst of the online learning boom. I hold a master’s degree in teaching and have spent the past 7 years sharing the richness, humor, and unique charm of the Russian language with students from all over the world. My classes are fun, interactive, and focused on practical language skills. I truly enjoy connecting with new students and often find that I learn just as much from them.
