NEW! 1-Day Workshop: Create Unique Brush & Mark-Making Tools

$120.00

NEW! 1-Day Workshop: Create Unique Brush & Mark-Making Tools is part of our Crafts & Mixed Media classes, held at Parnell Community Centre in Auckland.

Unusual materials make unusual marks. With natural and recycled materials, we craft unique brushes, quills, and yet-to-be-named mark-making tools!

Some of the binding techniques I am using for my brushes are inspired by my Mokuhanga/ Japanese print-making practice. Inspiration also comes from traditional Japanese brushes made from feathers, diverse fibres, and animal hair, each chosen for their unique characteristics.

There is a small charge for provided materials, and you're welcome to bring your own inks and papers to experiment with your creations. After signing up, you'll receive recommended supplies to gather over the summer before class begins; however, there's no obligation: just come as you are and have fun!

Create your own vibrant and beautiful art in this fun, hands-on experience.

Limited spaces available – all materials and protection gear are provided!

No prior experience is required—just bring your enthusiasm and dive in!
