Gill Barlow
Starting the Beginners Drawing classes in 2024, I expanded to explore Collage in 2025 with various materials and gilding, alongside continuing the Drawing classes. This allowed me to develop my artistic expression in a more 3D manner, in keeping with my previous creative endeavours with flowers, pottery and silver work.

After the White House diplomatic events and public confrontations in February 2025, this artwork came forth. The chaos, power and confusion do not hide the terrible price of shed blood and lost souls, destroyed lands and lives whilst the world gaily moves on without cares or affront at the atrocities continuing. Part of a larger body of work still in progress

Based on the Artist's experience of visiting the Headquarters of a bank and seeing the vaults where money is stored and old notes burned. The logo is deconstructed and hidden. The many layers represent the many layers of banking and financial largesse and control. It is part of a bigger body of work which will be exhibited when completed.
