Newmarket Heritage Walk

Newmarket, on the fringe of Auckland's CBD, has undergone a series transformations to emerge as Auckland's premier retail precinct. Once sale yards for livestock and a major manufacturing and warehousing centre, Newmarket has successfully styled itself as Auckland's fashion capital and a thriving commercial hub.

This 2.7km walk takes in examples of heritage buildings between the 1850s and the 1960s and concludes at Highwic, one of Auckland's treasured historic homes.
